5 of the best Halloween Activations
It’s nearly Halloween, and to celebrate, we’re taking a look at some of the best Halloween-themed brand activations. From sleepovers with 6 million dead bodies to car washes that will scare the sh*t out of you, sit back and enjoy.
Burger King – Scariest BK
We’re rolling back the years to start with, back in 2016 Burger King dressed up as the ghost of McDonalds in this scarily good Halloween prank. It pretty much cemented itself as having one of the best Halloween costumes ever. Covering itself in billowing white sheets and trolling its rival with a special sign that read: “Booooooo! Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers. Happy Halloween”. The level of savagery is clear to see but this campaign got some serious results with a little over 1000 tweets per hour in the first day generating over 2 billion impression globally throughout the campaign. Bravo.
McDonald's reacted to Burger King's Halloween prank, where it dressed up one of its NYC restaurants as the "ghost of McDonald's." -------------------------------------------------- Follow BI Video on Twitter: http://bit.ly/1oS68Zs Follow BI on Facebook: http://bit.ly/1W9Lk0n Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/ -------------------------------------------------- Business Insider is the fastest growing business news site in the US.

Vans – Haunted House of Vans
This fully immersive Halloween experience had it all. Scenes of massacre, terrifying torture, gory performances and grimy bass sounds of horror remixes courtesy of Metalheadz. Vans has nailed it with this one as it completely understands its customer and what they want.
Bringing to the tunnels the ultimate horror house experience, this Halloween we've invited London's undead to Haunted #HouseOfVans for a blood curdling bowl comp, the premiere of 'Where We Come From' and scenes of massacre culminating in the most epicly menacing metal from West London deathpunks Hang The Bastard supported by Bombus.
Fanta – The 13th Floor
This chilling VR experience takes viewers on a twisted elevator ride, and to be honest it’s terrifying. As scary as vampires, ghosts and witches can be, there is nothing scarier than being in a broken elevator as an unknown person/thing is coming at you from the shadows or a shadowy figure is transported from a bank of flickering TV screens into the confines of the elevator…NOPE. Fanta has hit the nail on the head here though with a great mix of tech and live experience as it launched the VR activity at its Halloween Terrors event where people were queuing for hours to participate.
Trick or treat? TRICK! Hold on to the handrail, it's going to be a bumpy ride down 👇 www.fanta.co.uk/13thfloor #Fanta13thFloor This content is designed to shock and can only be viewed if over 16
Ford - “Spooky Car Wash”
We’ve all seen the final destination scene where the guy goes through the car wash never to come out, well this one is something similar. Guys dressed up as scary monsters leaping out at unsuspecting people, yeah that’s going to scare the sh*t out of anyone really. Ford very much took it to the next level with this car wash stunt. People were given money to take their car for a free wash at a local place. Once they were in the car wash, the lights were cut and weird things started happening…take a look.
